1st Annual Montreal Special Needs Fair 2011: New special needs resource fair on the theme of providing special needs and disability resources specifically for individuals with special needs, disabilities and chronic illnesses.



1st Annual Montreal Special Needs Fair 2011, Montreal's first leading special needs fair of its kind covering all legal, financial, educational, therapeutic and recreational needs for families and individuals with disabilities and special needs, will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the Ruby Foo’s Hotel, 7655 Decarie boulevard and will be open to the public from 10 am to 8 pm.



The need for information in regards to health care, new treatments, education, community support and nutrition is over whelming. Often families don’t know where to start looking.



This free educational event is uniquely positioned to reach people with special needs, disabilities and chronic illnesses, a growing segment of the community whose aspirations largely remain unrealized and whose challenges often go unaddressed. Through education, empowerment and networking opportunities, the 1st Annual Montreal Special Needs Fair 2011 will make a significant contribution towards enriching lives, building an inclusive society and reducing poverty. This 1st Montreal Special Needs Fair 2011 will be the biggest event of its kind!  Everyone with disabilities and senior community, children with disabilities, and their families, caregivers/service providers, veterans, baby-boomers should all be there!  40 different exhibits will include special equipment vendors, recreational programs, family support services, intervention assistance, therapy plans and information on government agencies.



The Honorable Marlene Jennings of the Liberal party will be there at 9:45 am to greet everyone and officially open the fair.  Workshops and presentations on various topics from guest speakers are also planned throughout the day.  There will be demonstrations and raffle prizes as well.
