Orla graduated from Bournemouth University, England, with an Honors degree in Hospitality Management with International Marketing. Orla's training in the UK from an early age in the world of theatre, voice and dance and then in Canada at the National Film Acting School and Acting School of Montreal helped her excel in her abilities and break into the Industry successfully.

Orla is the morning show traffic announcer from 5 30am – 9 30am Monday to Friday on Chom FM (Montreal’s Rock Station), CJAD800 (Montreal’s news talk station) and Virgin Radio. With a love for entertainment Orla is also the weekend Entertainment Reporter on CJAD providing a look at what events are happening in and around Montreal. Orla has established a huge following in Montreal with over 7000 people following her on Facebook and Twitter.
For five years Orla was the fun, effervescent and glamorous co-host with Mose Persico, and Fashion Reporter on "Entertainment Spotlight" CTV. Entertainment Spotlight is a Hollywood Entertainment show consisting of celebrity interviews with A-list actors, movie reviews, fashion show coverage and a music segment featuring pop star interviews. Orla traveled extensively with the crew to co-host and cover fashion stories throughout the world in New York, London, Paris, Italy, Barbados, Greece, and Mexico.

Orla also hosted her own radio talk show for 3 years, 'Table Talk with Orla Johannes’ on ‘AM 940 Montreal’s Greatest Hits’ a light hearted, fun and informative show on ‘food and drink’ consisting of interviews with top chefs, celebrities, restaurant critics, cook book authors and well known Sommelier's.

Realizing a niche in the market with her voice, Orla started her own voice-over company where she is the voice talent for corporations worldwide, producing and editing voice scripts in her home studio. Recently Orla is the new voice for Air France, her voice is heard in every airport in France as the English announcer. Getting a write up on the front page of the Wall Street Journal also catapulted her talent into high gear for having a voice that is extremely successful with debt collection agencies, her voice on an automated system had a huge impact on clients listening for longer and paying their debts!
